Behind The Cross Roads of Eternity

The crossroads of eternity has been a pet project and life's work of Travis Brown and Jake Richmond since early 1992. From the early days of birthing a storyline in their heads to the current incarnation of a fully expandable role playing system, the crossroads of eternity has been a major part of both their lives.

originally spawned as an idea for an independent comic book series which would encompass three major sections: the birth of the pendants, the war of the pendants, and the death of the pendants. Each of these major sections dealt with a period of history spanning from a medieval world to the future, surrounding the struggle of the Tentutinjen, a race of immortals, to overcome and destroy Dragul, the lord of the Nosferatu.

as time went on, the story developed and characters began to take shape, amazing heroes with powerful abilities and deep background stories. These stories developed so far that Travis brown began work on writing them as novels in summer of 1994, three years later completing over eight hundred pages between two books. These became the blueprint or doctrine by which the story then developed.

A few years passed and Travis Felt that the setting needed a major overhaul. Originally set in our own world around the events which happened in history, he felt that it would be a better fate for the book to be set in it's own world, and therefore, the setting of the Role Playing game world, which had already been under design, became the world of the story as a whole, which drew the entire project together.

To this day the layouts and scripts for the comic book series have been developed, and the novel series is currently in rewrite, while the Role Playing game hopefully will become a staging area from which these other projects can take flight.

It was felt that the role playing game was engaging enough and could become popular enough to support interest in the comic book and novels in coming years… we shall see if that holds true.
