We have just finished upgrading our forum software to a new SMF forum, and have relocated it to the parent arcadiam games site at Arcadiamgames.com. All the content and user base transitioned over with few problems. This fixes many issues we've had with remembering log-ins and some other minor bugs as well.

Been awhile since we updated the news section, so I thought it best to inform you all that we are in fact not dead. We are here, plugging away on new ideas. Jake is taking a break from RPG's in general until the first of the year when we plan to begin work on the Bestiary and Religous factions/Vampire houses books. January 1st, Omnibus #1 and #2 will be available through distribution, as well as a new value pack which retails for $34.95 and will include a copy of the core rule book and the Nature of Magic, which is a $15 savings, so check it out at your local stores.

Gen Con has come and gone and we have realized that our cooperative promoting and convention appearance efforts will be better served appearing at the forge booths in the future, rather than wasting our time trying to get another group of manufacturers to syndicate with one another for promotional purposes. we'll be resolicating the core rule book through distribution and it will be packaged along with the nature of magic supplement book, as well as solicating omnibus #1 and 2.

Jake is back at home now and feeling much better. On the project front we are nearly complete with the basic layout for Omnibus #2 and will soon be final placing the artwork and fine tuning the content. I'd like to thank the people who contributed to omnibus #2 by giving feedback during the play testing, but all in all was VERY disappointed with the response overall from those who expressed interest in doing the playtest, and then did not follow through, oh well, it's to be expected I suppose.
05/10/06
Newsletter went out, Omnibus Playtest material went out, and we have a weapon proficiencies tutorial available on the CROE CAM page to the right, which is a slide show that details the step by step aspects of weapon truncations.

Touching basis: So we've hit some technical difficulties, and focus on some other inssue that have come up, along with some development projects on other products have made us unable to provide much material for the last few weeks. We're going to be gather together play test content for Omnibus #2 and sending it out to our play testers as soon as we can, and will also be adding a new playable race: the Black Orc, to the web site.

We're busily working on various projects and working with our distribution consolidator to market our products along with many other indie companies, but will have some new content for you very soon. GTS was a great success for us, but Gamestorm however was quite a flop. Look for our newsletter in the next couple days which will have the full report.
03/23/06
Things have been absolutely crazy lately. We made a mistake somehow on the dates of GTS but luckily were able to change our plans to get there at the beginning. The show when amazingly well, and we came away richer in ideas and hopefully with a bit more exposure and product recognition to retailers. Game Storm 8 is tomorrow through Sunday, so if you are in the northwest check the game storm link to the side and below for information. NOM is now available for order in print form and any outstanding orders are being sent out now, so you should get your product very soon. We're in the process of designing a CrossRoads spin off game which is a non-collectable, but expandable tile based, fast paced battle game to appeal to the mass market gaming industry. This product is being created in response to next year's trade convention which we will bring info about once we have more details.
03/06/06
We've been hard at work making our preparations for our March conventions, and will be leaving next week for GTS in Las Vegas, if you are a retailer or distributor we encourage you to stop by and spend five or ten minutes taking a look at what we have to offer, and talking with us about our great products. The following week will be Game Storm 8 in Vancouver WA, follow the GS8 link on this page for info. We'll be coming back the week after GS8 with a new supplement module for arena pit fighting and a special tournament, this will be published on the web site for free, after we give it a try locally and at GS8.

Printing of the Nature of Magic book has been finalized and we are simply awaiting for the turnaround before books will be available for us. We trust that the quality of this reprint will be of the quality we had expected from our less than tallented first printer attempt. CyberCon went very well, we have 4 people register and attend the game as well as several walk ins who watched the game in action. Also we ran over by an hour and a half so all in all I count it as a success. I actually had to cut the game short, but would have very much liked to have continued on. See the newsletter for more information. The Arcadiam Vault file sharing system is back online and we'll see what it does to our bandwidth and disk usage. It is open access to anyone who wishes to use it for CROE game related use.

We have a lot on our plate to deal with at the moment and CyberCon is here. We've got several people registered for it and I hope it will go well. I'm sure it will. We'll be a few days late on getting our monthly newsletter out, as we wanted to have CyberCon results in it. We've resolved the issue with the printing quality as far as getting copies of Nature of Magic printed is concerned. We will have copies to replace previously ordered ones and shops should never see the horrid quality, which was given to us. New copies should ship to distributors the middle of next week, and we will have copies in hand ourselves by the end of next week. Omnibus #2 is also shaping up very well and will be a special oversized issue because we have so much great content to include for werewolves and the combat addendum. Be ready for the newsletter on Monday or Tuesday of next week, which outlines all of this and much more.

We are having a major quality issue with a printer which misrepresented their services to us, and the Nature of Magic hard copies are hereby delayed. If you have purchased a copy of the Nature of Magic in the last week, please contact us about sending it in for exchange once these new copies are printed. The ones which went out into distribution were poor quality, and had missing information as the printer used the wrong material which was provided. We are looking into a few options for printers and will have the issue resolved shortly. Thanks for your patience.

Nature of magic will be arriving next week, and we have discovered a glitch in our software that removed the cost field and ORA requirement field from several entries in the equipment section of the book. These entires are very easy to fill in by hand as the fields are visible and empty. Check this Update for info on the missing data.

New entries have been made to the galleries, please check out the link to the left to see a selection of the wonderful art from the Nature of Magic.
