updated: 1/20/06The Drawing Board is the section on our website where we keep you informed about what our intended road map of product release is. All information here can change at a moments notice and any estimated release dates here are not quoted release dates, just working dates in mind as possible deadlines. The material here will give you a good idea however about what to expect in coming months from Arcadiam Games. Currently on the drawing board for Arcadiam Games is the Nature of Magic book. Currently completed and at the printer, this 260 page expansion to the magic mechanics of the CROE system promises to be a great addition and a lot of fun. Currently available for PDF purchase via our online store, the printed copies will be available by January 22nd at latest. The Battle for Andora primer has now been completed and will soon be made available for download. This is an exciting free expansion which contains a character creation addendum. This character creation addendum will have such elements as back-story development, character virtues, and motivations. There will also be an age chart and experience table relating to this. Along with these new options which give your characters even more versatility, the primer also includes the starter adventure which highlights one stage of war among many in the great battle for Andora. The Nosferatu houses are preparing to move against the great city of Elderon in an attempt to seize Suria's pendants of power for their own, and to reclaim Andora as the home to the second coming of the great Nosferatu empire of Yeld. This product is shaping up for release before the end of January and will be freely downloadable from the web site and other venues. Next on the project agenda for Arcadiam Games is the re-release of Omnibus #1, complete with mechanics revisions and an entirely new layout and appearance. Based on some feedback we have decided to take a new approach to the color scheme layout of the book, as we originally intended to add color only for gray scaling purposes, and gave little thought to the coloring process. Since all PDFs are in full color, we want to go about constructing each issue of omnibus to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Once Omnibus #1 is revised, we will be tackling the production of Omnibus #2. Content has already been assembled for this second issue, and will contain a great supplementation to the combat system, werewolf hunters, and werewolves in general. New material for a lycanthrope playable character will also be included. We have finsihed laying out the first mock-up of Omnibus#2 and will now begin polishing up the content and begining the layout process. Jake will be beginning artwork for omnibus #2 by the end of the month Down the road a few months (after first quarter) we will begin heavy work on our second major expansion with title to be determined. This "Seven houses" book which we are referring to it by, will feature an in depth elaboration of the history of the first Empire of Yeld (Dragul's empire) which is introduced in part in the Core Book and the Battle for Andora Primer. It will also feature the history of the seven houses of the Nosferatu, and many new rules and mechanics to enhance play as a vampire. This book will also include an in depth focus on the many faiths and religions of the world of Rivium and provide many sub classes and abilities based on the religious faction you belong to as a cleric or paladin. Also included in this book will be a mundane (non magical) priest class for player characters as well as the "witch hunter" trade, who tracks down and slays wizards for a living. Many other orders and factions are outlined within this book, and it too promises to add a level of depth to your games never before felt. Issue #3 of Omnibus is a necromancer supplement and is planned for around April which will contain all information about the Necromancer from the Core Book, The Nature of Magic, as well as a new mechanic and new varieties of undead summons which the Necromancer can employ. Plotted for sometime near the end of the year possibly 3rd or 4th quarter of 2006 will be the Bestiary book which has already been plotted as far as general structure is concerned. This great book will be our 3rd large expansion for the game and will list every creature from the core book, as well as a massive array of new creatures appearing in Omnibus and other publications, as well as new content. This book will also include a wide range of NPC's and monster sheets for GM's to use based on the experience level of the players. There will also be a relative experience rating chart which will allow for easy balancing of foes to place against the players in a game. This bestoary book will also have new equipment, skills and other resources for the Beast master and Ranger, as well as other related items. The book has no planned MSRP or page count at this point, but I estimate it to be well over 200 pages. |
